Let Your Audience Do the Work: Capitalizing on User-generated Content for Higher Ed

Tuesday, Oct 23 11:45 - 12:30

Presented by Garrett Bingaman

Understanding your audience is key to a successful creative strategy. Why not take advantage of this and make them “secretly” work for you? Learn how our team at Purdue University benefited from past mistakes and successes and launched a successful university-wide social media photo campaign, Picture Your Purdue. By getting our audience involved, we capitalized on free content and merged it with a full redesign of the university homepage.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:
• Understand the value and capitalize on user-generated content
• Benefit from your audience to accomplish your overall goal
• Successfully integrate social media and design in your creative strategy and process
